Quality product. Gave it 4 stars because the crown piece was to small for my horses head. I worked with Nunn Finer and they are making a custom sized one to fit my horse!
Kineton noseband product review
Thank you for the quick shipping and quality of the kineton noseband. Kinetons are hard to find, and you offered the best price.
Our barn recently purchased a Kineton noseband fom Big Dees . It ariived promptly and was a very nice looking quality leather noseband. We wanted this particular noseband becasue our barn specializes in re training off the track thoroughbreds. Two of our OTTBs are curently doing the jumpers. We found that after a few jumps they would start to get a litttle heavy on the bit and get stronger between jumps. My daughter is a light rider, and we had no desire to start over bitting the horses, since we knew that most of our problem was due to the horses being green at showing. The Kineton noseband is a fanatstic piece of equipment that, when properly positioned, creates a light pressure on the horses nostrils which immediately causes them to back off the bit. The best aspect of this noseband, is that the horse determines whether or not the noseband is going to restrict their air. i.e. when the horse pulls, more pressure from the noseband, and the horse slows down. If he does not pull, the noseband merely keeps the bit in place. I do not recommend this noseband to green riders or anyone who does not completely understand how it works. I believe it works best for riders who have light hands and a good feel for a horses mouth, as well as good balance on a horse. To me, it is far better than putting too much hardware in the horses mouth.

I have a young Thoroughbred off the track.She took very well to her track training, that any contact with the bit meant pull and go. In retraining her, I found the Kineton noseband to be very helpful and effective. It gives a slight nose pressure with any use of the bit and can be adjusted to come into play sooner or later, so you can use more nose pressure than bit or less nose pressure than bit. It worked quite well to get her to gradually accept the bit.

I really like the quality of the Nunn Fine leather on this noseband. I had originally ordered another kineton elsewhere and the leather quality was terrible. Nunn Finer is great and well made. I know the Kineton is not the most well known noseband; so, if this is your first time using it be sure to use a larger bit as the metal part of the noseband adds about a half inch or so to the bit.

Vaccines are shipping in an insulated pouch with ice packs to assure that they arrive safely. When you receive your order the packs will have melted, but will have done their job.

Returns may be made in person at our retail store or by sending the item back to us. We suggest that you use a return shipping method that includes tracking such as UPS, Fed Ex, or USPS Priority. Big Dee's Tack will not be responsible for lost, damaged, or otherwise undelivered return packages.
We do not offer refunds on originating or return shipping charges unless there was an error on our part in fulfilling your order.
Returns of products that can no longer be resold as new due to being used, damaged, or dirty will incur a 10% restocking fee.
