Customer Service Representative (In-Office)

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative professional that will coordinate the functions of the Customer Service Department under the direction of the Customer Service and E-commerce managers. This candidate will act as a resource to the sales team and collaborate with the team to ensure departmental goals are being met. This position is full-time with opportunities for overtime during peak seasons.

Role:
All Customer Service representatives must provide friendly, confident, and efficient service to our customers.

· Answer phones, emails, and live chats professionally.

· Answer calls and engage with customers that are calling in to place orders, ask questions about their online orders, assist with product selection, check their order status, offer technical support, and service information.

· Support the sales team as needed with projects and daily tasks.

· Field complex or technical questions from customers.

· Handle complex complaints and issues from customers and escalate to management when necessary.

· Follow up with customers and expedite orders as needed.

· Maintain good relations with other departments relating to customer service issues such as product information displayed on our website or in print materials.

· Establish priorities pertaining to the customer service department.

· Communicate in a thorough, timely, and professional manner internally and externally as it pertains to customers and staff.

· Aid in the process of proofing orders from multiple platforms.

· Research product availability for special orders.

Qualifications:

· Must have significant equine experience.

· 1-3 years or more of related experience in Customer Service.

· Experience in handling large complex customers.

· Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office Suite, primarily Excel.

· Type 40-45 words per minute.

· Availability 8am-7pm M-F and 1-2 Saturdays a month.

Education:

Online Chat Specialist

Chat Specialists provide an extraordinary first impression by responding quickly and accurately to our customers’ chats and emails regarding horse or pet products. You will provide extensive knowledge about specific equine products and services, in doing so you will identify the customer’s wants and needs. Communication with our customers takes place via our web-based live chat platform. Chat Specialists are responsible for having dynamic and uniquely tailored conversations with our customers to elevate their desire to do business with us for their equine and pet needs. These conversations are not scripted. We pride ourselves in creating relationships and rapport with our customers by listening to their equine and pet needs. Chat Specialists need to think quickly and provide a personalized experience for each customer tailored to their needs. Therefore, the ability to multi-task, improvise, and type quickly is a must. Additionally, Chat Specialists will need to problem solve and show a heightened level of empathy, care, and concern for the customer’s experience. Chat Specialists are also responsible for working in teams to meet individual and company benchmarks.

This role supports the customer experience and provides superior customer service. This position reports to the Customer Service Director and Managers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and respond to customer inquiries via chat and email through our platform.
  • Respond in a timely and efficient manner with properly written replies.
  • Process order changes and cancellations per procedure and customer’s need.
  • Perform all duties relating to the response of customer inquiries with a high degree of empathy, detail, and understanding.
  • Escalate complex issues with management regarding order or product issues.
  • Assist customers with technical inquiries and problems through online communication.
  • Communicate with management on discrepancies, order conflicts, and concerns.
  • Follow up with management to ensure customer issues are resolved promptly and thoroughly.
  • Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the overall customer experience.
  • Some overtime is required.
  • Perform other duties as required.

The skills and experience you need:

  • Current Horse Experience (riding, training, owning, competition) minimum 2 years current experience.
  • High school diploma or GED/ Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent computer skills preferred (word, excel, internet, email, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Adept analytical, problem-solving, organizational, follow-up and a sense of urgency are required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment, and positive attitude.

E-Commerce Product Specialist

Our product selection includes a wide range of equipment, health care supplies and horse tack as well as clothing, footwear, safety equipment and more for riders and horse enthusiasts. We are seeking to fill a full-time, in-office e-commerce product specialist. This position will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day product operations and maintenance of all channels

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Utilize internal and external reporting tools to quickly identify listing errors.
  • Review, maintain and update existing product listings for accuracy within but not limited to the product title, description and keywords.
  • Upload and configure new product listings on multiple channels 
  •  Liaise with purchasing, marketing, customer service and inventory control to troubleshoot issues and ensure data integrity.
  • Track, monitor and resolve any issues with account health or technical errors by utilizing Google metrics
  • Create promotional offers across sales channels including flash deals, monthly deals, and more

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with product data/information management and content quality.  
  • Proficient with HTML  
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a must.

E-Commerce Merchandising Product Specialist

Our product selection includes a wide range of equipment, health care supplies and horse tack as well as clothing, footwear, safety equipment and more for riders and horse enthusiasts. We are seeking to fill a full-time, in-office e-commerce merchandising product specialist. This person will be responsible for creating a rich and powerful shopping experience on multiple online channels that will allow the customer to feel like they are shopping in person.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Add, edit, arrange and showcase online products for all channels
  • Create engaging content for items across all categories
  • Create enticing product groupings to make a more personalized online experience
  • Take photos for items when imagery is unavailable from vendors
  • Tell a story with additional photos of product groupings that will be used for homepages, landing pages, social media, etc
  • Edit and update photos of existing items
  • Create videos for additional product content
  • Acquire or create size charts for items that require guides
  • Creation of Homepage, landing pages, email pages and other assigned digital design projects
  • Work with the purchasing team to fully understand the product and intended retail life cycle 

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently active in the equine community 
  • Proficient in Adobe Suites - specifically Photoshop
  • Working knowledge of Shopify and Adobe (Magento)

Retail Associate - Full or Part Time

Big Dee’s takes pride in assisting customers in selecting what they need to care for their equine partner at the right prices! Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that each customer receives prompt and courteous service.
  • Keeping assigned areas neat, organized, and clean

  • Possessing a working knowledge of horses in order to help customers select products

Skills / Education:

Shipping  Associate Puller and Packer - Full Time, Part Time and Seasonal

Warehouse Team Member - Full Time

Full time position in our Streetsboro warehouse. Responsible for pulling replenishment for our retail store using handheld technology; along with other duties/tasks assigned. Performs necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment. Assists in our drive thru feed room loading feed and pulling customer pickup orders.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Accurately pull products for shipping and replenish on daily basis
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties in the warehouse as needed and assigned
  • Operating floor scrubber and sweeper for cleaning of aisles and walkways
  • Helping shipping department when needed – pulling orders/stacking boxes on skids
  • Stocking merchandise that is received in daily

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Able to meet productivity, quality, safety, and attendance requirements, including overtime as required
