• Gently clean away dirt or debris without picking at existing scabs; for damp or oozing spots, pat dry with a clean cloth before applying
• Scoop out the paste and spread a thick layer over the desired spot and surrounding skin without rubbing it in, then allow it to dry to a near-white shell
• Leave the dried paste in place for several days and reapply as needed
• For broader, paint-like barrier coverage, thin the paste with water or witch hazel before applying
• Wet the paste before removal, as dry paste may be abrasive
