It contains iodine and a high concentration of pine tar, which help stimulate blood flow to the affected area and support the body’s natural recovery process.
When should Reducine be used, and is it a strong liniment?
Reducine is most commonly used after exercise or when heat, swelling, or soreness is present. It is considered a strong liniment and may also be used as a blister when applied repeatedly. Because of its strength, it should be used carefully and according to label directions.
How should Farnam Reducine be applied, and are there any precautions?
Apply a small amount to the affected area, just enough to dampen the skin, clipping the hair for best results. Rub in and repeat as directed, stop applying once the skin shows signs of cracking or scaling, and leave the area to heal without applying any other products. If the horse's condition does not improve, contact your veterinarian. Reducine is for topical use on horses only. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes, do not use on cats.
