The Flapper by Grand Circuit takes a half shoe fitted into the recess in front of the heel portion of the pad.

This results in the dispersal of pressure and concussive force on the horse's heel area. The frog and bars are designed to have "passive" ground contact and are supporting structures.

The Flapper is useful in treating:
a) general bone and joint soreness,
b) weak or contracted heels,
c) navicular syndrome,
d) ringbone,
e) sidebone,
f) quarter or heel cracks. .

Available in sizes 1-5.

"Tried these on my 16yo navicular (vet diagnosed him a 3/5) Paint gelding after getting a recommendation from a friend, they have saved his life. He went from be dead lame and unridable without a heavy bute dose, to being able to go out on a two hour ride. Four times a week. No bute since these were put on 14 weeks ago. The combination of a great farrier, a great shoeing schedule, and these pads have literally given my horse a second chance. Could not recommend these enough. "
