"I have tried neoprene & a shim pad. Saddling was such a struggle. One little bump as I lifted the saddle & the neoprene would scoot out of position before I could drop it down. With the shim pad alignment was crucial so a little bump or ear twitch & I had to start over. With a 16H+ horse this was a big issue. With the liner it is so much easier and works super to keep the saddle from sliding backwards."
