Big Dee’s Shipping Information – FAQ

• What shipping options does Big Dee’s offer?

  We provide multiple shipping options to meet your needs:

  • Same Day Shipping – Orders placed by 2 PM EST on in-stock items ship the same day.

  • Express Shipping – Next Day and Second Day shipping available upon request for an additional charge. Call 1-800-321-2142, 330-626-5000, use live chat, or email sales@bigdweb.com. Business days only; do not count Saturday or Sunday.

  • Free Ground Shipping – Orders over $70 (non-FOB items) shipped to the contiguous United States qualify for free ground shipping. Orders under $70 incur a $7 shipping fee.

  • FOB / Oversized Items – Ground shipping charges based on actual weight. Items over 2 lbs or bulky items (e.g., stall mats, large size poultice) require special handling.

  • The following items cannot be shipped mail: vaccines, needles, orm-d items, glass, liquids, over 2 lbs, going to racetrack or training centers.

  

• How long will my order take to arrive?

  • Ground Shipping: 1–5 business days (contiguous U.S.). Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are not counted.

  • Express Shipping: Next Day or Second Day (business days only) are available upon request. Shipping charges will be quoted by a customer service agent.

  • FOB / Oversized Items: Shipping costs are based on total order weight of items marked FOB. FOB items are typically those that weigh over 2 pounds or that are large and bulky.

  We ship via UPS, USPS, or truck depending on the size and weight of the order.

• How are vaccines shipped?

  • Vaccines ship Monday–Wednesday only.

  • All vaccines are temperature-sensitive and shipped in insulated packaging with ice packs. Packs may be melted upon arrival but will have maintained safe temperatures during transit.

  • Orders over $300 ship free (ground) in eligible states.

  • Vaccine Air Shipment Fee: $22.50 for most states.

  • Cannot ship vaccines to HI or AK.

  • Rabies vaccines cannot be shipped to most states (AA, AE, AK, AL, AR, AS, CA, CT, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, MD, ME, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OR, PR, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY). Rabies vaccines are non-returnable and do not come with a tag or license.

  Tip: Unpack vaccines immediately upon arrival and refrigerate until use.

• Are there shipping restrictions for certain items?

  Yes, the following items cannot be shipped via mail:

  • Vaccines to restricted states

  • Needles or ORM-D items

  • Glass or liquids

  • Items over 2 lbs

  • Shipments going directly to racetracks or training centers

  Oversized items may require FOB truck delivery (see next section).

• What is FOB / Oversized Item Shipping?

  • Oversize or overweight items (stall mats, horse-drawn vehicles, large gates) require lift-gate or semi-truck delivery.

  • Orders are quoted individually by customer service before charging your payment method.

  • Minimum delivery charge: $225.

  • Charges are based on weight, size, and distance.

• How long does it take to ship custom orders?

  • Custom items typically take 2–3 weeks to ship.

  • Delivery may take longer during holidays.

  • Our team will confirm estimated shipping times before processing your order.

• Do you ship internationally?

  • Yes, we do!

  • All international orders (including Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands) pay actual shipping charges, plus any customs duties, taxes, or brokerage fees.

  • Items that are fed-to or injected into animals may not clear customs.

  • UPS collects duties and taxes upon delivery; these fees are the customer’s responsibility.

  • Big Dee’s is not responsible for confiscated or lost shipments outside the contiguous U.S.

  • To place an international order, choose “Other” as your payment method and request a shipping quote in the notes. Customer service will contact you with the final quote before processing.

• How do I calculate shipping costs for FOB or oversized items?

  • Use our shipping chart for approximate charges based on weight and destination.

  • Final charges will be confirmed by customer service before your payment is processed.
