Dutton Correction Port Solid Shank

Dutton Correction Port Solid Shank Bit features a 2 1/4 inch high correction port mouthpiece combined with 5 1/2" Solid shanks that offer more control and collection. This correction port is a strong severity bit that will apply pressure on the bars of the mouth as well as the outside nerves. The ported correction has a wide 2 1/4 inch tongue release that also has a slight mullen, this traps the tongue adding to the severity of the mouthpiece. The function is similar to a D2 mouthpiece offering more feel with rein is engaged, the solid shank action provides quick response leverage and encourages the horse to bend at the poll. A solid shank is a good option for horses that require increased leverage but allows for quick release from the hand.
