Dutton Dogbone CCL Short Shank Swept Back Bit features a three-piece mouthpiece with 3/8 inch inlay copper bars and 1 1/2 inch copper wrapped dog bone combined with 3 1/4" CCL shanks that are short shanks with a swept back cheek for an overall measurement of 6". The three-piece mouthpiece is a light severity bit that is designed to reach the outside pressure points of the bars allowing for tongue relief. A great mild shank for both young and finished horses alike. Swept back design of the cheeks allows leverage for flexion at the poll., while the shorter shank provides the rider leverage to exert more pressure to achieve the same effect as a longer shanked bit, while the copper wrapped dog bone encourages salivation making the bit easier to accept.
