The twisted snaffle is a medium severity bit that will apply direct and even pressure across the bars of the tongue the center piece allowing pressure too extend to the outside points of the bars offering more feel with less pressure when the rein is engaged, the cavalry shank action provides quick response leverage and encourages the horse to bend at the poll. A cavalry bit is a good option for horses that require increased leverage.
