Dutton Old Cowboy Snaffle features a single jointed snaffle mouthpiece that is relatively mild and ideal for a variety of Western disciplines on a short shank with large loose ring. A snaffle will apply direct pressure across the tongue when the rein is engaged without affecting the poll or corners of the mouth when combined with the Dee cheek. The mild nature of a snaffle makes it a good option for starting horses before moving to a more refined mouthpiece or a gentle option for aging horses.
