The Weaver Nylon Complete Back Cinch helps keep your Western saddle stable, level, and secure through stops, turns, and uneven terrain. Built from doubled-and-stitched nylon for dependable strength with low maintenance, it acts as a secondary girth to prevent the cantle from lifting and the saddle from tipping forward. Complete with matching nylon billets, a connector (hobble) strap, and nickel-plated hardware with a smooth roller buckle, it’s a practical, durable choice for ranch work, arena events, and trail riding.

Product Details:

  • Color: Brown or black
  • Material / Lining: Doubled and stitched nylon body; single-ply nylon billets; nylon connector strap
  • Shape: 1.75" wide back cinch designed to stabilize the rear of the saddle
  • Hardware: Nickel-plated hardware with roller buckle for easy secure adjustment
  • Fit / Contour: Helps keep the saddle snug and level, reducing forward tipping and wither pressure
  • Durability: Abrasion-resistant nylon with reinforced stitching for long service life
  • Features: Complete set includes 1.75" single-ply billets and nylon girth connector (hobble) strap
  • Material / Finish: Weather-resistant nylon webbing; nickel-plated hardware

Sizing Information:

  • Cinch measures 1.75" wide
  • Designed to fit most Western saddles with rear cinch dees
  • Proper fit: Cinch should be snug but not tight, allowing 2–3 flat fingers between the cinch and the horse’s belly
  • Placement: Position just behind the rib cage, centered on the horse’s belly and about 5" below the rear rigging
  • Signs of poor fit: Too loose (risk of a hoof or brush getting caught), too tight (discomfort, tail swishing, irritation)
  • Always secure the connector (hobble) strap to the front cinch to prevent the back cinch from sliding back

How to Use a Back Cinch:

  • Place and center the saddle on your horse’s back.
  • Position the back cinch behind the rib cage, midway up the horse’s side.
  • Adjust until snug, following the two-finger rule for safety and comfort.
  • Attach the connector (hobble) strap between the front and back cinches to hold the rear cinch in place.
  • Before mounting, confirm the cinch is straight, not twisted, and neither overly tight nor dangerously loose.
  • Care & Maintenance:

    • Rinse nylon with cool water after rides to remove sweat and dirt; wipe hardware dry
    • For deeper cleaning, hand wash with mild soap, rinse thoroughly, and air dry away from direct heat
    • Avoid bleach or harsh solvents that can weaken fibers or corrode hardware
    • Inspect billets, stitching, and hardware regularly; replace if frayed, cracked, or damaged

The Weaver Nylon Complete Back Cinch combines tough, easy-care nylon with a complete billet and connector setup to deliver secure saddle balance, reliable performance, and everyday durability.
